FIRST UNIVERSITY TEA TO BE HELD THIS AFTERNOON

MEMBERS OF FACULTY RECEIVE IN PHILLIPS BROOKS HOUSE FROM 4 TO 6.

The first of this year's series of University teas will be held in the Parlor of Phillips Brooks House this afternoon from 4 to 6 o'clock. An invitation is extended to all members of the University who will be most cordially welcomed on these occasions. They will be held throughout December, January and February, with the exception of the Christmas recess and the mid-year examination period.

It is the purpose of these teas to bring the members of the University into more cordial relationship with the University officers and their wives, and the committee in charge accordingly arranges to have members of the Faculty and their wives present to receive each Friday afternoon. These occasions which the committee in charge aims to make informal, co-operative and interesting, offer an unusual opportunity to students of the University to come in contact with those most prominent and interested in the affairs of the College and the graduate schools.

Besides the members of the committee the administrative officers and their wives, who will as far as possible be present at each tea, the University professors and instructors and their wives are invited to attend in groups arranged alphabetically. The following members of the Faculty and their wives have been especially asked to be present at the tea this afternoon: Professors C. A. Adams, L. Allard, B. M. Anderson, W. W. Atwood, I. Babbitt, G. P. Baker, G. P. Baxter, H. C. Bierwirth, G. C. Birkhoff, M. Bocher, C. T. Brues, C. J. Bullock; Messrs, C. V. Brewer, H. H. Burbank, W. A. Berridge, W. A. Boughton, F. R. Blumenthal, L. P. Brown, W. E. Brown, J. W. Bell, H. E. Burtt, A. Burkhard, P. F. Baum, E. Ballantine and H. L. Blackwell.
