Record Number of Candidates at Preliminary Meeting Yesterday.

A record number of swimmers reported yesterday at the meeting of candidates for the University swimming team.

The first practice for the University squad will be held this afternoon when all candidates should report at the Boston Y. M. C. A., 316 Huntington avenue, at 5.30 o'clock.

Managers Out Tomorrow.

The competition for the second assistant managership of the swimming team will begin tomorrow. All candidates for the position from the class of 1919 should report at Thayer 52 at 5 o'clock. The competition is short and the work is not difficult. No experience is necessary.
