Nichols '86 will address the meeting and outline plans for the season. Battery men will hold their first practice in the Baseball Cage next Wednesday, while the fielders will be called out a week or ten days later. After the squad has been cut down to make it possible to handle the Freshmen the 1919 men will be called out, probably about the first of March.
Candidates from the Sophomore class for the position of second assistant manager of the University team should report in the H. A. A. Monday at 5 o'clock. The competition will be comparatively short, a little over three months, closing after the Princeton game on June 3. The work will consist of the management of the second team, field practice with the University nine, a limited amount of clerical work, and the direction of the Freshman candidates. The work will be extremely interesting as well as valuable and requires no previous experience.
The Freshman manager candidates will report next Wednesday in the H. A. A. at 5 o'clock. The Freshmen will have complete charge of the 1919 nine besides assisting in the field work for the University. This competition will be decided about the middle of May.
