Registration Defendants Fined

A. K. Reading and H. B. Harris, who were on trial for alleged conspiracy in falsely swearing and certifying the registration in connection with the assessment of W. Townsend '16 as a voter, both pleaded nolo contendere in court yesterday afternoon and were sentenced by Judge Hugo Dubuque, presiding in place of Judge Raymond, to pay fines of $200 each. Payment was ordered extended a reasonable length of time. In the first indictment which involved Harris only, the jury was unable to come to any decision.
