C. E. Wright '18 is New University Strong Man

A new University strength test record was made yesterday afternoon in the Hemenway Gymnasium by C. E. Wright '18, of Newton, who amassed a total of 1486.9 points.

This breaks the record made during the hockey season by G. A. Percy '18 by 44.5 points. Wright's superiority was evident in his ability to "push up" 67 times compared to Percy's 61 and his fulling 490 kilos with his back and legs as compared to Percy's pull of 400.

In all other respects the records show about the same figures.

The strength record has taken frequent jumps upward in the last four years during which time it has been broken successively by Leslie, Hardwick, Davies, Percy, and finally Wright.
