The Cercle Francais has elected temporary officers to fill the vacancies caused by the entrance of last year's officers into government service. Hardinge Scholle '18, president of the Cercle a year ago, was again elected to that office; Leonard Opdyke '17, was chosen vice-president; Paul K. Fisher '20, secretary; A. L. Carroll '18, treasurer.
The Cercle Francais has decided to abandon its usual play this year, as has the Dramatic Club, and in its place to hold meetings and conferences with speeches from men prominent in French circles in and around Boston. A reception in honor of Colonel Azan, Captain Amann and Lieutenant Morize is planned for next week, and shortly afterwards one for M. Cestre, the exchange professor.
