SABINE TO GIVE WAR LECTURE

Exchange Professor to France Last Year to Talk on Aviation.

The fourth of the series of University War Lectures will be delivered this evening by Professor Wallace C. Sabine, Hollis Professor of Mathematics and Natural Philosophy, and University Exchange Professor to France last year. The talk will be given in the New Lecture Hall at 8.15 o'clock, and Professor Sabine will speak on the subject: "Aviation and the War."

Last year Professor Sabine was granted a leave of absence from the University and he spent most of his time in Europe in scientific investigation work connected with the war. During his absence he spent most of his time in Italy, but he also came in close contact with people of the other warring countries, and observed the conditions and customs in England, France and Italy. In his lecture, Professor Sabine will include the development of the science of aviation since the beginning of the war, and the important part played by aircraft in modern warfare.
