NEW YORK TRIP ABANDONED

But Musical Clubs Will Give Usual Fall River Concert.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The trip of the University Musical Clubs to New York that was planned for the Christmas vacation has been definitely canceled. The Clubs are still planning, however, to make their annual visit to Fall River and will give a concert there on December 21. The New York concert was abandoned because of the fact that the Christmas vacations of both Yale and Princeton, with whose co-operation the New York program was to have been given, begin on Thursday, December 20. If the proposed musicale had been held on the night of December 22, as planned, there would have been too large a break in the vacations of the Yale and Princeton singers and players.

Four performances have already been arranged for the University Glee and Instrumental Clubs for the month of January. All these concerts will be held in the vicinity of Cambridge. Two of the four, those at Fort Strong and Commonwealth Pier, were scheduled in accordance with the offer of the musical clubs to give entertainments at the various military camps and training stations near Boston.
