M. I. T. COURSE ON GASOLINE MOTOR FOR NAVAL RESERVISTS

After April 1 only Enrolled Men Can Attend Training Courses on Battleships.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

M. I. T. is offering instruction on all phases of the gasoline motor as used in patrol boats. The course will be held at the Technology Laboratory on Vassar street every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7 to 10 o'clock, the first meeting to be tomorrow. Men enrolled in the Naval Reserve will become eligible for these classes by registering at the office of the Naval Training Association, 42 Water street, Boston.

After April 1 the privilege of attending the classes of instruction on the battleships Virginia and Georgia at the Charlestown Navy Yard, will be confined to men enrolled in one of the classes of the United States Naval Reserve.

The necessity for imposing so stringent a regulation arises from the great number of men who are now enrolling in the Reserve and from the impracticability of attempting the instruction of a greater number of men than are already registered. Thus, beginning April 1, the following schedule is to be put in operation. All men enrolled as-ensigns are to do their principal work in navigation.
