A short session was in order for the University baseball squad yesterday. Coach Duffy watched the men in the usual batting and fielding practice which lasted only 15 minutes, and then lined up the men for the regular practice game. Five innings were played, with Team A again coming out the victor by a 5 to 3 score. McLeod and Holly were the only men to secure hits for Team B; Harrison fanned four, but was rather wild, walking five men. The hits for Team A were evenly distributed, Casey, Knowles, Harte, Abbot, Phinney and Bothfeld each driving out a single. Only one shift was made in the lineups of the teams, Stephens and Watkins doing the catching for the second-string players. Coach Duffy looked at the diamond on Soldiers Field before practice, but decided that the ground was still too soft for outdoor work. The lineup follows:
