The one hundredth anniversary of the birth of James Russell Lowell '38, will be commemorated by exercises in Sanders Theatre on the evening of February 22 at 8 o'clock. The exercises are to be held under the auspices of the Cambridge Historical Society. The committee in immediate charge consists of W. R. Thayer '81; president of the society, Rev. G. Hodges '79, and W. C. Ford '07.
Professor Bliss Perry of the English Department and President Eliot will be among the speakers. The second balcony only is open to the public. Admission to the rest of the theatre will be by ticket.
