Abolish Training Tables to Economize Explains Moore

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In connection with the abolition of training tables at the University, announcement of which was made in Tuesday's CRIMSON, Major F. W. Moore has made a further explanation of the situation. He made it clear that the Athletic Committee expressed its approval of this move mainly for the purpose of economizing from a financial standpoint. There will be but one slight exception to this rule in the case of the crew. Inasmuch as they do not finish their daily practice till very late, they will eat together in the evenings.

Curtailment of expenses in connection with the New London regatta was also announced. This will be accomplished by shortening the period of training at the quarters at Red Top. Whereas formerly the crews were in training there for a number of weeks, this year they will be there only from four days to a week at the most.
