Undergraduate opinion on the management of sports at the University is being consulted. The Athletic Committee has asked the Student Council to offer any suggestion for improving athletic conditions.

Unfortunately the Athletic Committee, owing to the absence of Dr. Lee, has hitherto been unable to form any comprehensive plan for obtaining more general participation in sports. But the Student Council can suggest a general summary of undergraduate opinion which Dr. Lee may find a good foundation on which to base his specialized knowledge. With a little effort, it can also start an agitation making participation in athletics the "thing to do."

Radical changes in policy which the student body denounced would be very harmful. Athletics are essentially the affairs of undergraduates and must be treated accordingly, a point too frequently overlooked.
