In Saturday's game, the Freshman baseball team had little trouble in beating the Groton School nine at Groton, by a score of 15-0. E. Goode, in the box for 1922, struck out 15 of the school boys, and allowed but four scattered hits. His team-mates hit Norris, the Groton pitcher, for 15 safeties, including five doubles.

J. M. Martin, who replaced S. Smith at first base, lead the 1922 batters with a single and two doubles in four times at bat. L. A. Hallock with three singles, and F. W. Crocker with two doubles, also helped to drive in the 1922 runs. In the field, the Freshmen played errorless ball.

Immediately after the contest Arthur Joseph Conlon, of Worcester, was elected captain of the 1922 nine. Conlon prepared at Exeter where he played shortstop on the team for one year. He has been holding the same position on the yearling nine.
