In an interview last night, N. W. Niles '08, former captain of the University tennis team, and winner of the Intercollegiate tennis tournament, expressed himself as in favor of awarding the "H" to all championship tennis teams from the University, in order to place tennis on a proper footing and encourage the sport.
"In a game like baseball or any other team game, a player reaches his best while at college, but drops the game on leaving," said Mr. Niles. "In the case of tennis, which is an individual's sport, the player will keep it up, and frequently reaches his highest standing of play after graduation, as in the case of R. N. Williams '16, former University captain, who became national champion after graduating."
