BUNTIN REPLACES SNELLING AT LEFT CENTER POSITION

COACH WINSOR CONTINUES TO AID COACH CLAFLIN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With only two days remaining before Coach William H. Claflin '15 selects the Crimson hockey septet which will clash with the King's College team Saturday evening in the Boston Arena interest centers on the seven players most likely to be chosen from the wealth of experienced material at hand. Team A of the University squad when it lined up yesterday showed only one shift, that of it. W. Buntin '21 to the post of left center in place of H. B. W. Snelling '21. R. S. Humphrey '21 remained at point where he was advanced Tuesday and though his place is still open to possible change before Saturday, it is more than likely that with the present arrangement Coach Claflin will consider the places on the first seven adequately filled for the early season contest.

Emmons and Bacon Sure of Berths

R. W. Emmons 3d ocC. and F. McN. Bacon '21, shooting from the right and left wing posts respectively, are virtually certain of starting the game against the Canadians. Both are more dependable and show more finish than D. Angier '22 and C. W. Baker '22, the Team B wings, and the likeliest choices as substitutes.

From right center Captain E. L. Bigelow '21 will direct his team, paired most likely with Buntin. Snelling is making a close contest for the left center berth, but his loose, aggressive style seems more than offset by the former Newton star's speed and assurance.

G. Owen '23 and Humphrey are favored for defense players. The former seems potentially one of the shiftiest cover-points the Crimson has had, but both will profit immensely by the personal instruction dealt out by Alfred Winsor '05, who was assisting at practice again yesterday.

Half an hour's rugged scrimmaging yesterday afternoon between Teams A and B was marked by two goals, one scored from formation by Buntin and the other neatly caged by Owen after a dash down the ice.
