TO HOLD INTERCLASS DEBATE THIS EVENING IN SMITH HALL

Freshmen and Juniors Opposed on Subject of Disarmament at 7.30--Freshman Trials to be Held Thursday

The interclass championship debate will be held this evening at 7.30 o'clock in Smith Halls Common Room, when the Freshman team will argue affirmatively and the Juniors negatively on the subject, "Resolved, that the United States should decrease immediately the present expenditure upon armaments." B. H. Kuhns '22, president of the debating council, will preside.

Trials for candidates of the Freshman fall debating team will be held on Thursday evening at 7 o'clock in Harvard Hall. Each candidate will be required to give a five-minute speech on the negative and affirmative sides of the subject. "Resolved, that the Eighteenth Amendment should be repeated". The successful candidates will make a trip to New London, Conn., to meet the local high school later in the fail.
