At a meeting of the Rifle Club last night, 21 candidates for the University team and 25 candidates for the Freshman team reported to Captain H. H. Fuller '23. It was announced that practice will start on Monday, while informal practice will begin on Thursday. The new 50-foot range in the basement of Persis Smith Hall, at which the practices will be held, will be open from 2 to 6 o'clock in the afternoon and from 7 to 9 o'clock in the evening on week days, while on Saturday it will be open from 10 to 12 o'clock in the morning. All men trying out for the team are privileged to passes that will permit them to use the range.
Although the number of men who reported is large; the team wants more men to come out. In addition to the 21 University candidates, there are a few more who have already signified their intention of joining the squad, but who were not at the meeting last night.
