The provisional announcement of the courses of instruction offered by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences for 1921-22 has just come out. These are the courses which the various Divisions and Departments now expect to offer next year, but before the regular announcement to be made on April 25, some changes will undoubtedly be made.
The greatest change made in this year's announcement is the abolishment of the groups. These were made unnecessary by the rules for distribution which went into effect last year. Mathematics has again been brought into a relation with Astronomy, Navigation, and Physics, whereas now only Philosophy is classed with Mathematics.
The provisional examination groups are also in this pamphlet, but the tabular list of all courses and examination groups which appears at the end of the regular final announcement is omitted.
This list may be obtained free of charge from the publication table in University 2.
