Both the University and 1924 swimmers suffered defeats at the hands of M. I. T. teams 36-17 and 46-7 respectively last night at the Boston Y. M. C. A. tank. The University team showed to especial advantage, losing the relay race by only a foot, while Parkman Johnson '21 tied in the 50-yard dash with Captain A. H. Brackett ooC. The latter and P. K. Thomas ocC. won first places in the 100-yard and plunge events respectively. The Freshmen, however, did not fare so well, gaining only one second place.
