UNIVERSITY FENCING TEAM OPPOSES YALE DUELLISTS

Meet Is Scheduled to Be Held Today at 1.30 O'clock in New Haven--Teams Are Evenly Matched

The University fencing team closes its season this afternoon, when it meets the Yale duellists at New Heaven, at 1.30 o'clock. From their records for the season the teams seem to be evenly matched. Yale last week defeated Columbia in a very close match, which was undecided until the end, when Captain Walker of Yale defeated his opponent. The week before Columbia defeated the University, but by a narrow margin of one bout.

Captain S. H. Ordway '21 of the University team is probably the best fencer on both teams, and should win all his bouts with little difficulty. A short while ago, at a match held at the New York Athletic Club for the championship of the A. F. L. A., he defeated the three members of the Yale team who were entered, Walker, Bishop and MacKenzie, and won fourth placo in the final standing.

Captain Walker and Bishop are the veterans on the Yale team. Bishop is the holder of the Junior Fencing, Championship of New York.

Captain Ordway, J. G. Barse '22 and W. R. Brewster '22 are to be the University entries in the foils events. Burke Boyce '22 will fence with the opee, S. S. Kurtz '21 will accompany the team as alternate.
