SUMMER SCHOOL TERM TO BEGIN ON JULY 5

Single Six Weeks' Session to Be Held This Year--Three Freshman Dormitories Reserved for Students--More Than 100 Courses Offered

Reorganized under the joint supervision of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Faculty of Education to be operated as a "School of Arts and Sciences and of Education", the Summer School at the University will hold a single six weeks' session this year, opening on Tuesday, July 5, and closing on Saturday, August 13. As the authorities expect a large registration for the courses of the School, which will number over 100 and will cover 28 subjects, they have reserved all three of the Freshman Halls for Summer School students, constituting a larger dormitory space than has been available for the School since the war. The charges for board and room will be moderate.

During recent years, the Summer School courses have proved popular among school and college teachers, college students who wish to make up credits toward their college degrees, and others who desire a six weeks' period of intensive training in one or two subjects. This summer, in addition to offering the regular courses, the School authorities have made arrangements for concerts, excursions to points of historic interest, excursions to industrial plants, and other entertainments for the students.
