HOCKEY CANDIDATES IN POSTPONED MEETING AT UNION AT 7.30 TONIGHT

FIRST FRESHMAN GAME AGAINST MALDEN JANUARY 6

The meeting of candidates for the University hockey team, scheduled for yesterday was postponed until 7.30 tonight, on account of the temporary illness of Coach W. H. Claflin '15 which made it impossible for him to be present. He will, however, be at the meeting tonight and will speak briefly on the season's plans and early practice work. Dr. D. C. Parmenter '13, Captain George Owen Jr. '23 and B. D. Nash '23, manager for 1923, will also make a few remarks on the coming season. As already announced the meeting, will be held in the Quiet Room of the Union.

Practice will begin this week with a long drill at the Boston Arena at 4 o'clock on Friday. This will be the only workout this week, but regular drills will begin after the week end, beginning on Monday at 5 o'clock.

Toronto First Crimson Opponent

The University schedule begins on January 4 with a game with Toronto and ends on March 30 with the second of the two annual contests with Yale. The entire schedule has not yet been decided but at the recent meeting of the Athletic Committee the following games were approved. January 4.--Toronto at Boston. January 13.--Princeton at Boston. January 20.--Yale at New Haven. February 17.--Cornell at Boston. February 21.--Dartmouth at Boston. February 24.--Princeton at Princeton. March 30.--Yale at Boston.

1926 Season to Start Soon

The Freshman season will begin with a meeting to be held in the Freshman Dormitories some time in the near future, and practice will begin as soon as there is ice on the Charlesbank Rinks. The Freshman also may look forward to stiff opposition throughout the season. The schedule follows, all games to be played at Cambridge unless otherwise indicated:

January 6, Malden High; January 10, Browne and Nichols; January 17, Cambridge Latin; January 20, Princeton; January 24, Newton High; January 27, Andover; January 31, Milton Academy at Milton; February 3, Exeter; February 7, St. Marks at Southboro; February 10, St. Pauls at Concord; February 14, not filled; February 17, Yale at New Haven.
