Wakefield Wins Squash Tournament

The annual Law School squash tournament was brought to a close yesterday afternoon when both semi-finals and final matches were played off. In the semi-finals Channing Wakefield 1L. defeated D. P. Kingsley Jr. 1L. (3-1) while D. M. Gilmore 2L. won from H. L. Hall 2L (3-2) only after a hard fight. In the finals Wakefield defeated Gilmore 15-10, 15-5, 18-17, and thus gained the right to have his name placed on the board in the University squash courts. The final match was featured, by long rallies with Wakefield's steadiness the deciding feature. In the final game Gilmore was leading 13-9, but Wakefield, watching his stride, won eight straight points and clinched the championship.
