ARRANGES FOR MEET WITH ENGLISH TEAMS

Arrangements for a track meet in England next summer between the combined Harvard-Yale and Oxford-Cambridge teams were completed by Mr. W. J. Bingham '16, former coach of the University track team and assistant graduate treasurer of the H. A. A., who returned from England Tuesday. All details are subject to the approval of the University and Yale Athletic Committees.

While in England Mr. Bingham held several conferences with Harold Abrahams, captain of the Cambridge track team, W. R. Milligan, the Oxford track captain, and Berril Rudd, captain of the Oxford team two years ago. All of these men were members of the combined Oxford-Cambridge track team in the meet with the University in the Stadium in the summer of 1921.

July 14 or 21 were the tentative dates decided upon for holding the meet. The choice of place was left undecided between the Queen's Club an the new stadium at Wembly.

Twelve events will be on the program of the meet, two more than in the Stadium meet in 1921. It was decided to drop the hammer-throw, and to add the 220-yard dash, the 220-yard hurdles, and the pole-vault. Only first place will count in each event, except in case of a tie.

It was requested by the English representatives at the meeting that Yale and the University use Freshmen in this meet, a thing which was not done formerly.

It is expected that the University and Yale teams will leave here the end of June, arriving in England in time for about two weeks practice there. Cambridge and Oxford have extended invitations to the University and Yale to be the guests of the two colleges while they are abroad.
