Two regulars will be absent from the line-up of the Freshman basketball team when it faces Allen Military School at 7.15 o'clock this evening in the Hemenway Gymnasium. Combs, at right guard, was injured in the Springfield game last Saturday and will probably not be able to play for two weeks, while J. A. Reed, who starred in the early season games, will not be in action before the end of the week. Elberfeld is taking Combs' place, and Endicott will start at center with Rauh as a sure substitute.
Smith is the strongest asset in the Freshman forward line. His shooting has featured recent games, and when the team went down to defeat before Springfield on Saturday he was high individual scorer with 20 of the final 26 points to his credit.
The visitors so far have not had a very successful season, and have been decidedly weak in shooting. Their floor work and passing, however, have been consistently as good or better than that of their opponents. Captain Di Luglio is outstanding in the line, and Merrow is a dependable defense man.
