With the completion of the tennis tournament for the Jackson Cup, now being conducted on the Jarvis courts, the Union tennis tournament will begin. This tournament includes both singles and doubles events and is open to all members of the Union.

The winners of the singles and doubles events will each be awarded a silver cup, which will shortly be placed on display at the Union news stand.

A second contest planned by Union officials will be the pool and billiards tournament to begin after the football season opens. A second tournament in this same line will be held after the Christmas vacation.

Details of the Union Prize Essay Award have not been announced this year, but the Library Committee again will offer $100 for the winning essay.

The policy of rewarding four members of the Freshman class, who excell in scholarship and class activities, will be continued.
