WRESTLING SQUAD WILL BE OUT DOWN TO 25 NEXT WEEK

At Present 94 Men Are Candidates for University and Freshman Teams

The largest squads in the history of Harvard wrestling, numbering 94 candidates for the University and Freshmen teams, are now working out under the direction of Coach William E. Lewis. This group is increasing in size daily.

The present objective of both squads is the elimination trials which will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. By means of series of two out of three seven minute matches, the number of men in each of the seven classes will be reduced to four.

Coach Lewis' purpose in holding these trials is two-fold. With the first meet of the season against Columbia only four weeks distant, concentrated preparation is necessary, which is impossible with the present bulky squad. In addition, he believes that the men can learn more wrestling under actual competitive conditions than in any other way.
