FIELD EVENTS WILL BE LAST PHASE OF DORMITORY MEET

Schedule for University Spring Track is Approved

On Monday, December 17, at 3 o'clock, the Field Events of the fall Interdormitory Track Meet will be contested. The meet is open to all Freshmen, representing Gore, Smith, and Standish.

The running events were held on October 29. In these, Smith Halls scored the highest number of points. On Monday the meet will be brought to a close with the seven field events. These are the 35-pound weight, the 12-pound shot-put, the discus and javelin throws, the pole vault, and the high and broad jumps.

The track season for University and Freshman candidates will open officially on January 3. By that time the new board track should be finished. This will be modeled after the B. A. A. track at the Boston Arena, which is vastly superior to the one used last winter on Soldiers Field.

A tentative schedule for the University team has recently been approved. Unless otherwise stated, the meets will be held at Soldiers Field:

May 1.--University of Virginia.

May 10.--M. I. T. at Tech.

May 17.--Open handicap meet for all members of the University

May 24.--Princeton at Princeton.

May 30 and 31.--I. C. A. A. A. A., probably at Cambridge.

June 13 and 14.--Final trials for the Olympic team.

June 16.--Tentative date for meet with Yale, which may be changed to June 7.
