1927 DISCUSSION CLUB WILL DEBATE PROHIBITION REPEAL

Newly Formed Organization Will Hold First Meeting Next Thursday

The newly formed Freshman Discussion Club will debate the question of Prohibition in Smith Halls Common Room at 7 o'clock on Thursday, December 20. There will be four formal speeches followed by informal discussion.

At a meeting of the temporary executive committee, at which the temporary chairman J. S. Donaldson '27 presided, D. R. K. Barnes '27 was chosen secretary and the subject of debate decided on. The question will be worded: Resolved: That the Volstead Act should be repealed in favor of an act tolerating light wines and beers."
