THOMAS STARS IN "SAG HARBOR"

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Somerville players are presenting this week James A. Herne's well-known drama "Sag Harbor". The simplicity and conventionality of the play would prove its undoing if it were not for the masterly acting of Frank Thomas as Captain Dan Turner, the kindly sympathetic busy-body who meddles with everyone's affairs--to their advantage. As it is, the very atmosphere of the piece, draws the attention and sympathy of the audience.

Miss Anne Hamilton and Harry Bond carry off the leading roles with their usual skill, although at times the dialogues tend to drag. Mrs. Hibbard adds a touch of comedy but is handicapped by a rather cumbersome part.

The Sag Harbor Quartet is a novel innovation adding to the musical part of the program.
