"Individuality must be allowed free play. No period in history has ever demanded it as much as now." said the Right Reverend C. H. Brent D. D., Bishop of Western New York in an address before the Liberal Club yesterday.
Bishop Brent said that last year he wanted to go to Russia, "the most idealistic of all nations," to get an unbiased opinion of the conditions there, but the Russian government refused him permission to enter the country. "Although Russia is still experimenting," he concluded, "I think she has a stable government. The Russians are the only people in the world at the present time with a distinct goal and true sincerity of purpose."
