FRESHMAN NIGHT AT POPS TO BE AN INNOVATION THIS YEAR

Entertainment Committee Arranges to Have May 14 Special Night

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

James Addison Halsted '26, of Syracuse, New York, has been appointed chairman of the Freshman Entertainment Committee to succeed E. R. Nash Jr. '26, who has resigned. The position of sub-chairman of the committee has been given to George Beeve Moynahan '26, of Mattapan, and an assistant sub-chairman will be selected later by a short competition.

The committee has now completed arrangements for a special Freshman night on May 14 at the Pops Concert in Symphony Hall. This is the first time that such a plan has been developed, and if this venture proves successful, it will become an annual Freshman affair. The program will include not only popular selections by the Symphony Orchestra, but also several numbers by the 1926 Glee Club, under the leadership of Mr. A. W. Wright 4M., the director of the club. Most of the best tables will be reserved on May 14 for the members of the Freshman class and their guests. The Entertainment Committee will canvass the dormitories for the sale of tickets for the concert at one dollar each.
