On June 9 at Soldiers Field there will be an open handicap track meet under the auspices of the H. A. A., according to the plan which the Athletic Committee approved at its meeting last night. Although the majority of the events on the program will be regular handicap contests, there will also be several special invitation races in which many of the more prominent track athletes of the country will be given an opportunity to compete. The projected meet will be the chief objective of the University track team between the Intercollegiates on May 25 and the Yale meet on June 16.
