Three Hindu plays will be produced this afternoon and evening by the Dramatic Club in cooperation with "The Union of East and West", a literary organization whose aim is to promote fellowship among the nations of the world. The plays will be presented in Huntington Chambers Hall at 30 Huntington Avenue at 3 o'clock and again at 8.30.
The first two of these plays, "The Farewell Curse" and "The Maharani of Arakan", were written by Rabindranath Tagore, while "Savitri" or "Love Conquers Death", the third playlet, is a lyrical drama by K. N. Das Gupta and adapted from the Hindu epic "The Mahabharata". These three plays combine into one program, the tragedy, comedy, epic, and idealism.
Tickets may be purchased at Herrick's Filene's, or at the door.
