The University matmen avenged their defeat at Columbia last Saturday by overcoming the wrestlers from the Y. M. C. U. of Boston at Hemenway Gymnasium last night by the score of 14-11.

As Goldberg, the University 115-pounder, was awarded his bout by default, the outcome of the match was never in doubt.

Acting Capt. Evans lost his match by falling into an unbreakable single wristlock and half nelson in the last minute of contest. Hayne in the 115-pound bout continued his winning streak securing a decision after forcing the issue with his opponent every minute. The final match of the evening was a closely contested battle between Shumen of the Y. M. C. U. and Bradford, a last year's Freshman star in which the former won the closest of decisions.

The summary:

115-Pound class--Goldberg (H) defeated Westhaver (Y. M. C. U.) by default.

125-Pound class--Rapoport (Y. M. C. U.) defeated Millet (H) by referee's decision.
