What do the three candidates for President stand for? Calvin Coolidge stands for government of the American people by and for special interests. Robert M. La Follette stands for government of the American people by blocs for the laboring class. John W. Davis stands for government of the American people by and for the American people--all of them!
We ask the vote of Harvard College today for John W. Davis for President because
Mr. Davis' party stands foursquare for a policy of honesty at home and honor abroad.
The present Republican administration has conclusively demonstrated its utter disregard of honest government for the public welfare.
The President has demonstrated his weakness and inability even to control his own party.
Mr. Davis' record proves him a strong and fearless leader.
Mr. Davis will not compromise either with the corrupt forces of special privilege or with the malcontent forces of dangerous radicalism. (Signed) Clifford P. Morehouse, President, Harvard Democratic Club.
