The Business School and the Law School divided the honors in the first round of the informal basketball tournament held yesterday afternoon in Hemenway Gymnasium. In the first game of the afternoon, a team made an of first-year men in the Business School defeated a first year Law School team by the top-heavy score of 15-22. The second game was won by the second-year Law team from the second-year Business five, the Law team taking the long end of a 28-13 score.
Tomorrow the second round of the tournament will be played when the Law all team encounters the Business II team, and the 1927 five battles the 1928 team. Despite the fact that they had had only a few days of practice, the winning team his afternoon showed flashes of excellent basketball.
The rest of the games will be played next week, as there will be no contests on Friday, November 21, because of the Yale game on the following day.
