MAHER WINS PRESIDENCY OF JUNIOR CLASS EASILY

ONLY SIX VOTES SEPARATE TWO CANDIDATES FOR SECRETARY

The results of the election of the Junior class officers were announced last night by the Student Council. As the count in the election of the secretary-treasurer was exceedingly close, it was necessary to check the ballots several times.

The new officers of the Class of 1926 are: President, John James Maher of Bridgeport, Connecticut; vice-president, Alfred Hart Stafford of Newtonville; and secretary-treasurer, Edward Walker Marshall of Portland, Maine.

The class numbers 782 men. In accordance with the 60 per cent rule, 470 ballots were needed to make the election valid.

The results follow: President J. J. Maher  332 J. W. Adie  153 Cast out  7 Total  492 Vice-President A. H. Stafford  360 F. L. Barton  122 Cast out  7 Total  489 Secretary-Treasurer E. W. Marshall  240 W. I. Nichols  234 Cast out  7 Total  481
