The Gamma chapter of the Tau Beta Pi fraternity, an honorary engineering society corresponding to Phi Beta Kappa in liberal arts colleges, announced yesterday the election of three fourth year Engineering School men to the society. The men chosen were Charles Joseph Hubbard Jr. 4E.S. of Cambridge, captain of the University football team last year. Wilson Palmer 4E.S. of Newton, and Thomas Carroll Van Stone 4E.S. of Santa Fe. New Mexico.
The University chapter of the society was chartered in 1923 by the national organization, which has its headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee. It was necessary for a petition to be filed which was not favorably acted upon by the national officers for more than a year.
