The United States bowed before the onslaught of the powerful Canadian hockey team yesterday in the finals of the Olympic tournament by a 6-1 score. The Maple Leaf skaters are now the world amateur hockey champions.

Individual brilliance was the downfall of the Yankee sextet. They neglected to develop any sort of team play and depended upon their individual efforts to overcome their opponents.

The Canadians on the contrary relied entirely on a highly developed passing game which completely dazzled the Yankee players. They also withstood the long contest better than their opponents.
