Professor James Ford '05 of the Social Ethics department has been granted a year's leave of absence from the University, it was announced last night. He has accepted the position of executive director for Better Homes in America, Inc., an organization of which Secretary Herbert C. Hoover is the president.

Social Ethics 28, Management of Institutions and Welfare Agencies, will be in charge of Mr. Alfred F. Whitman '08, Executive Secretary of the Boston Children's Aid Association. Social Ethics 29, Community Organization, will be given by Mr. Maurice B. Hexter, A. M. '22, Executive Director of the Federated Jewish Charities of Boston.
