YALE UNDEFEATED IN COLLEGE HOCKEY

The Yale hockey team has had a perfect intercollegiate season--so far.

The combination which faces Harvard tomorrow has won 11 of its 15 games and tied one, while on three occasions it has been handed defeats by club outfits--the New Haven Bears and the Cleveland Athletic Club. More than half of its engagements, eight in all, were crowded into the Christmas recess, when the squad journeyed first to Cleveland and subsequently to Lake Placid. The Dartmouth and Williams stickmen were also passing their holidays at the winter resort, so that the Elis were well entertained.

Like the University, Yale had a period of rest during mid-year examinations, but this came to an end last Saturday when the Blue took on the Mass. Aggles. On Monday night the Yale sextet helped start off Junior Prom Week in New Haven by shutting out Dartmouth--but Prom Week will be over tomorrow.

Has Downed McGill and Princeton

The Crimson and the Blue have had but two opponents in common so far this year--McGill and Princeton. Yale blanked the Canadians by one point, and two nights later the latter defeated Harvard 2-0. Those who sought alibis for this set-back found them in the fact that it was the last game on the Northerner's American trip, and that the visitors admitted that they would rather beat the Crimson than any of their other opponents.

It took the Elis two extra periods to down Van Gerbig and his teammates, while Harvard won with comparative case 4-2. These is little question, however that the Tigers were suffering from over-confidence in the latter game, so that it will be a different Princeton outfit that invades the Arena on Feb. 18.

Jenkins a Wizard

If Yale has another star beside Captain O'Hearn, his firmament is the cage, Jenkins, the Blue goal-tend, has saved many a game for the Elis this year, and may still save many more. A good player in the forward line or on the defense can sometimes be dodged, but put him in the net, and he is always there. Beals and Hodder will have a hard time if they want to get the puck past his pads.
