Republican and Democratic sentiment in the College will openly clash for the first time, when members of the Debating Union affiliated with Harvard's two rival political clubs debate the question "Resolved: That this house should condemn the present administration's foreign policy of isolation and non-cooperation, and criticize what cooperation has been undertaken," at the Faculty Room of the Union, this evening at o'clock. The meeting is open to all members of the University.
Charlton MacVeagh '24, president of the Republican Club, and J. McK. Kimball '24, member of the executive committee, will take the negative side, and J. H. Smith '25, vice-president of the Democratic Club, and William Exton Jr. '26, also of the Democratic Club, will uphold the affirmative.
Every one attending the meeting will have opportunity to speak from the floor. Interruptions of the speeches will also be in order. The seating for the meeting will be according to convictions, men whose opinions are changed during the course of the debate will be at liberty to change sides.
