NO TOURIST APPEARANCE IN COLLEGE TRAVEL CLUB

TO STAY IN PARIS AT TIME OF OLYMPIC GAMES

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The College Men's Travel Clubs will make their sixth annual trip this summer, visiting France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, and England. Sailing from New York on the "Zeeland" of the Red Star Line on June 28, the group will travel through these countries until August 22 when they return on the "Caronia", a Cunard Line ship.

In previous years the parties, composed of representatives from 31 colleges and schools, have been entertained at dinners in London under the auspices of the American University Union, at which they have met the heads of the leading educational institutions of England. They have been also received by the headmasters and representatives of the student body at Winchester and Eton Colleges, as well as Oxford and Cambridge. At the Episcopal Palace at Malines they were welcomed by Cardinal Mercier. A portion of the group was granted an audience with His Holiness, Plus X. Every effort will be made to eliminate the tourist appearance of the party. The total number will be divided into several small groups in order to give as much individual freedom as possible.

Itinerary Extensive

The itinerary for next summer begins with a week at Paris visiting Versailles, Rheims, and the nearby battlefields, and offering an opportunity to see the Olympic games. Lausanne will be the center of the next week's sojourn in Switzerland. From July 18 to 25 the party will visit Chamonix, Aix-les-Bains, Grenoble, Nice, and Monte Carlo by the "Route des Alps."

Two weeks will be spent in Italy, making short stays at Genoa, Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan. On the way to England, the party will stop for two days at Brussels. The remaining part of the trip will be spent in England. While in London. Mr. W. L. Roffey, the Dickens expert, will act as leader and unofficial host.

The total cost of this travel program will be $930 per man. A shorter trip has been arranged to include Paris, Belgium, Holland, and England which will cost $610. A special extension trip for $145 extra will include Scotland and the English Lake.

Bookings for the tour can be made with L. H. Sherrill '26 at the CRIMSON.
