UNDERGRADUATES TO GREET 1928 TONIGHT

Leaders of Undergraduate Activities Will Explain Their Work--Rice-Bassett to Preside

The first welcome to the class of 1928 from the undergraduate activities of the University will find its expression in the informal reception to the Freshman class in the Phillips Brooks House at 7.30 o'clock tonight. Academic advice and official warnings have already been given, but tonight's program is intended solely to initiate the new men into the extra-curriculum life of the College.

B. F. Rice-Bassett '25, president of the Phillips Brooks House, will preside and introduce the speakers. M. W. Greenough '25, captain of the football team, and John Richardson '08, chairman of the Rowing Committee, will explain the two major sports of the fall, season. Professor G. G. Wilson, chairman of the Phillips Brooks House Committee, will talk of the social service work done by members of the University.

To Explain University Publications

The University publications, what they stand for, and the details of competitions, will be explained by their respective presidents, Gardner Cowles Jr. '25 of the CRIMSON, W. W. Scott '25 of the Lampoon, and John Finley of the Advocate.

Alden Briggs '25, president of the Glee Club, will next explain the status of that organization in the University. Following him, members of the Glee Club will give a musical program. Refreshments will be served at the close of the speaking.

The reception is open to the class of 1928. Every effort has been made to present a program that will represent every phase of non-academic college life and every member of the Freshman class is cordially invited to attend.
