The Dartmouth Alumni sextet defeated the University Graduates last evening at the Boston Arena 5-2, in the feature event of the Radcliffe Ice Carnival.
The game was much closer than the score indicated, for time and again the brilliant work of Leonard in the Dartmouth net staved off attacks by the University forward line which seemed certain to result in a score. There were also numerous scrimmages in front of the University goal, during which Wylde, the Crimson goal-tender, did heroic work.
During the third period, when the University was using a five man offense, Wanamaker, the Yale coach, managed to get clear and sped down the ice with Coach Bigelow following him. Wylde came out from the net and all three collided in a heap, but the puck rolled tantalizingly 15 feet along the ice and into the Crimson goal. Aside from the goal guards George Owen and Bright were the outstanding players for the University, while Wanamaker and Sheehey shone for Dartmouth.
