The baseball season started off with a rush yesterday, when all candidates were immediately divided into first and second teams preparatory to the opening game with Boston University on April 11. Of the 66 candidates 28 were placed on the University squad, the remaining 38 being assigned to the second team, where they will be given plenty of opportunity to advance to the first group. The University team will practice three afternoons a week, the second team twice. Thirty-seven fielding candidates reported to Head Coach Mahan yesterday in the Locker Building. The 29 battery candidates have been warming up for several days.
