YOUNG EASTERN SCHOLAR TO SPEAK At P.B.H. APRIL 8

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Mr. W.M. Heyting of New Zealand, will speak on "the Culture of the East" on April 8 in the Shepard Room of the Phillips Brooks House.

Though he is only 25 years old, Mr. Heyting has gained a remarkable knowledge of the East. He speaks a number of Eastern languages fluently, and through this medium was enabled to live among Eastern philosophers and to record their philosophical and religions beliefs.

A citizen of the Netherlands, he was born in Java, in the Dutch East Indies, and has passed his life there and in Australia and New Zealand. After learning English in Australia he concerned himself with English literature and is said by New Zealand periodicals to be "one of the few men working today to introduce Eastern beauty into Western literature."
