With the Yale game looming less than a week off, the 1928 baseball team will attempt to make a comeback from its temporary slump this afternoon when it meets the Andover nine on the Freshman field at 2.30 o'clock. The schoolboy game today will be the last encounter for the Freshmen before their crucial test and will afford Coach Davidson a final opportunity to estimate the power of his outfit.
Although he worked against the St. John's team on Wednesday, Barbee is again slated for the mound today. Captain Jones will be back in the line-up and will replace Nordberg, who played the last game in center field. Coach Davidson, however, expects to use Nordberg at left field, taking out Adams, who has played the position in all the early season games.
The Andover team comes with a record, of two defeats, at the hands of the Dean Academy and Westbrook nines. It is reputedly stronger, however, than at any other time in the year with the whole of an incapacitated line-up back in playing condition.
